Brian Bell age 45, whose experience spans 19 years in the hospitality industry prior to becoming President of Capitol Marketing Concepts in 1998. The Buford, Georgia (a small town North of Atlanta) native has an under graduate degree in Accounting/Business Administration, and a Master of Business Administration. His position in finance with Stouffer, Renaissance and Marriott took him to Atlanta, Houston and Los Angeles prior to coming to St. Petersburg, Florida to negotiate the purchase of the historic Vinoy Resort in 1995. $93 Million was spent restoring the 1925 built Vinoy to full operations, and provided jobs for a staff of over six hundred.
Under Brian’s guidance Capitol Marketing consolidated three company locations to a 32,000 square feet building at One Capitol Center. The move was completed on September 30, 2000. The Greater St. Petersburg Chamber of Commerce and the Tampa Business Journal named the company Outstanding Business of the Year on May 16, 2001.
Brian has a 16 year old daughter, Brittnie. Brian enjoys a wide variety of hobbies. Brian is a pilot. He and his family enjoy flying to exciting vacation spots. The family also enjoys travel in their motor coach. Brian also enjoys bicycling, swimming, snorkeling, and scuba diving. Brian’s favorite hobby is taking long and short rides on his Harley Davidson.
